The glow plug relay is located in the main fuse block and features a joint power supply terminal for all glow plugs. Depending on the operating conditions the PCM energizes the glow plug relay, which in turn switches the power supply to the glow plugs

The VAS6161, MCR340V and In-Charge 940 (INC-940) are the only VW approved battery testers and chargers that can be used to test and charge batteries in VW vehicles. Use of non-approved battery testers and chargers is not allowed, as internal battery damage may occur.
